Brussels Sprouts
Love them or hate them.
When they are prepared correctly with your favourite spices and herbs, they taste fabulous.
One cup of Brussel Sprouts is equivalent to our Recommended Daily Intake for Vitamin C and vitamin K.
Brussel sprouts are loaded with antioxidants, Vitamins, and Minerals, like Vitamin K, C, A, B1, B2, B3, B6, folate, manganese, cooper and potassium, just to name a few.
They have many health benefits like lowering cholesterol, cardiovascular support, restore digestion and detoxification, anti-inflammatory, preventing cancer and heart disease, and best of all: they are a great cure for winter depression, if you live in the land of the frozen chosen.
This recipe tastes so good, you might have to keep eating them, just remember to go for a walk or a workout after couple of hours of eating. 🙂

Ingredients
- 500 g Brussel Sprouts
- 2 Tbsp Water
- 1 Tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 Tsp Cumin powder
- 0.5 Tsp Sea Salt to taste
- Black Pepper to taste
Servings: people
Instructions
- Wash Brussel Sprouts. Remove the outer leaf if damaged, spotted or brown and cut off 1 mm of the stem to discard.
- Preheat your oven or grill to 400 F (~ 200 C).
- Slice Sprouts in half or quarter size and place them into a large mixing bowl.
- Add all herbs and water.
Toss to blend all spices in, thoroughly coating the sprouts. - Line a baking tray with parchment paper (typically suitable for temperatures up to 420 F or 216 C). Spread the sprouts in a single layer or slightly higher, evenly over the sheet. Roast for around 20 minutes at 400 F (200 C) until starting to brown slightly. Turn over with a fork half way through if you like.
- If you like the sprouts a little more done, just turn them over after 20 minutes and add more time in the oven, or set your oven to broiling for a minute or two.
Enjoy!
Recipe Notes
Variations: Try adding other spices or herbs. Also half way through the baking time, add thinly sliced onions or some garlic.
